With its vibrant flavors and rich cultural roots, Casa Oaxaca is more than just a restaurant-it’s a celebration of the bold and complex tastes of Oaxaca.

Walking into Casa Oaxaca, you’re immediately greeted by the warm ambiance and the intoxicating aroma of sizzling meats and spices. The menu is a reflection of the region’s culinary diversity, featuring dishes that are both familiar and unique. One of the standout items is the Oaxacan mole, a rich, smoky sauce made from roasted chiles, nuts, and chocolate. It’s the perfect accompaniment to meats like chicken, pork, or beef, making it a must-try for any first-time visitor.

In addition to the mole, the menu at Casa Oaxaca includes an array of delicious tacos, tlayudas, and tamales, each made with fresh ingredients and time-honored recipes. The tlayuda, often referred to as a "Mexican pizza," is a large, crispy tortilla topped with Oaxacan cheese, refried beans, avocado, and your choice of meat. It’s a hearty, flavorful dish that’s perfect for sharing.

Another popular dish is the grilled chicken, which is marinated in a special Oaxacan blend of spices and grilled to perfection. The charred, smoky flavor is enhanced by the zesty freshness of the accompanying salsa, making it a crowd-pleaser every time.

For those who love seafood, Casa Oaxaca offers a variety of dishes featuring fresh fish and shrimp. The ceviche is a standout, featuring citrus-marinated seafood mixed with onions, cilantro, and tomato, making for a refreshing and tangy treat. Paired with a cold cerveza or a traditional Oaxacan mezcal, it’s the ideal way to enjoy the sunny Santa Ana weather.

One of the things that sets Casa Oaxaca apart is its commitment to authenticity. The restaurant sources many of its ingredients from local markets and Oaxacan purveyors, ensuring that each dish reflects the true flavors of the region. • A cute, small corner restaurant with great food and a great environment. Can have somewhat lengthy wait times (personal experience is between 30 minutes- 1 hour). Once seated, they serve chips with mole while you can enjoy some live music. Handmade tortillas were given with all the dishes we ordered. Service was pretty quick, corteous, and efficient. The food was all flavorful and freshly made. Parking is very limited, and parking tickets are quickly enforced if you park in the wrong area on the street.

  • This is a great venue for good Mexican food. I came here to see a friend of mine perform live. Great live music and vibe! I really like Mole and of course had to try theirs. I got the Pollo with Mole and it was delicious. I also loved the Passion Fruit Margarita. Served chilled!

  • Delicious, very courteous service, invitingly generous servings, wouldn't change any of our experience here. parking can be a challenge, yes. but the flavours in everything we ate and shared across the table were rich, layered, intense if you can handle your heat! very glad our family shared the end of a momentous day here. come here with open hearts and appetites.

  • Amazing service and terrific quality food. It tasted fresh and not too salty but fresh like it was just chopped up and cooked. It reminded me of my grandmother's food and nothing can beat that. And they even have live music performing. Definitely a place to try out.

  • Love the look of the restaurant. Authentic to culture. I expected a bit more flavor to the tlayuda that I ordered but it was good and filling and tons of cheese. The mole sauce was good as well and I am not a mole fan at all. Very tasty and goes well as a dipping sauce for the tlayuda. Dessert was also yummy- tres leches. Super glad we tried this spot out. Yummy vegetarian empanada plate as well! Thanks
